Click here to take a virtual tour of Doorways' Safehouse Shelter.
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the Doorways Safehouse provides a safe place for women and children who are fleeing domestic violence. The Safehouse offers basic life needs (clothing, food, supplies and transportation funds), as well as individually tailored support services that prepare clients to lead secure, self-sufficient lives. The services, referrals, information and shelter we provide are free and confidential.
The Safehouse provides a peaceful and respectful environment where the healing process can begin. The home-like setting can house up to 11 individuals (including single women and women with children), for durations lasting between 30 and 90 days. Meals are cooked by each family with food provided by Doorways and laundry facilities are on-site.
